Winter Jam!!!

WINTER JAM 2012!! It was AWESOME!  So many great bands under one roof! It was the most radical concert I've ever been to! Skillet, Buidling 429, Sanctus Reel, and NewSong were my favorites--Dara McLane was really good, too. It was so cool to see so many people come to worship Jesus! Brock Gill, the Illusionist, was there, too. He. Was. AMAZING. And guess who met him down the hall near the Skillet booth? Yeah, ME! Well, we didn't really meet...I saw him and said 'Hi!' and he waved and said 'Hey, thanks for coming!' I should've asked for an autograph or a picture....lol
Winter Jam was great and I can't wait to go next year! It was totally worth ten bucks and standing in line for an hour and a half! I really hope our Youth Group goes again next year, but I hope its warmer ;D

CHRIST-mas

Christmas is coming up, and I know that everyone is excited and ready! I am, too! But as this holiday approaches, I think people lose sight of what Christmas is REALLY about. Christmas is actually a birthday for someone extremely special; Jesus! Can you imagine Him on that day, lying in his mothers arms? Being human for the very first time? And all just so He could die for you and me. As the blessed day grows closer, lets all try to take some time off our hectic days and just say thank you to the One who's love is so abundant that He would come to this earth just to die. And don't forget to sing Him 'Happy Birthday' Christmas morning!! ;D
Merry Christmas everybody!

Welcome To Wild Olive Branches

Welcome everyone! My name is Emily Clements and this is my new blog :) I decided to make this blog after I experienced an Epiphany (spelled correctly...?) the other day in Sundau School. We were discussing The Atonement and what Christ had to endure that day. When we got to the part about Jesus being seperated from God, it was like somebody had punched me right in the gut. Can you imagine that? Being connected to God, the Almighty, all your life, and then BAM! Disconnection! Total and complete seperation. Jesus and his Dad were apart for the fisrt time in Jesus' human life. It must have been excruciating for Him. Then we went on and I discovered something else that made my head spin; when Jesus was up on that cross, he didn't just 'die for sin.' He died for every sin that any Child of God had, has, and will ever make. Now, God hates sin. Since Jesus and God are One, that means Jesus hates sin. Jesus had all the sins that God's children had, has, and ever will make poured on him that day. He was seperated from his Abba, then he endured the thing he hates most. And all because He loves us. When I realized this for the VERY FIRST TIME in my ENTIRE LIFE, something amazing happened. Everything and everyone in that little, stuffy Sunday School room faded away, and I was alone with this....Divine Presence, for just one split, eternity second. It was like someone reached out and touched me inside and said 'I Am Here.' It was absolutely amazing. Things starting falling into place and I just kinda GOT everything for the first time ever. Now I'm ON FIRE for Jesus! I feel new, refreshed, re-born! And I'm ready to learn more and become the Princess my King intends me to be:) Its going to take some time, and the journey isn't always going to be easy or enjoyable, but I'm going to live my life for Christ Jesus. I hope that when you read this it sets a fire in you, too. Thanks for your time! Leave me a comment or two and tell all our friends! God Bless!
